Here’s How To Get Rid Of A Bloated Stomach In Only 12 Hours

‘Just overdid it during dinner!’ Tiffany Brien knows how to get rid of stomach bloating — and fast. The fitness blogger is gaining attention for two photos she posted that show how she can go from bloated to flat abs in just a couple of hours.

Brien shared the pics on her Facebook account on June 15. In the first photo, Brien’s stomach is noticeably bigger. In the second, she miraculously has a flat belly while wearing the same pajamas. The snapshots have since been shared more than 15,000 times and commented on by more than 3,000 viewers.

“No, I’m not 6 months pregnant. It’s just my food baby … These two photos are 12 hours apart, left before bed and right when I woke up … I know right!!” she captioned the images. “We are not all what we seem on social media. I thought I would share a bad day with you to show you nobody is ‘perfect’ and it is OK to have an off day where your body just decides to not play ball. Don’t worry girls, it happens to the best of us, all part and parcel of being a female! It is a delightful cocktail of lack of sleep, stress, hormones and food intolerances. A mixture for a whole lotta bloat.”

Superfit blogger Tiffany Brien has shown off her bloated belly online to show that even healthy, trim people have off days too.

She is encouraging people not to believe everything they see on social media, after posting side-by-side pictures taken just 12 hours apart — one before bed and one just after waking in the morning.

In the first photo, her stomach looks swollen as she lets it all hang out. While in the second, it’s back to being flat and toned.

Alongside the images, she wrote,

“We are not all what we seem on social media”.

“I thought I would share a bad day with you to show you nobody is perfect, and it is OK to have an off day where your body just decides to not play ball.

“Don’t worry girls, it happens to the best of us.”

She said her sluggish emotional and physical state was due to lack of sleep, hormones and food intolerance which was “a mixture for a whole lotta bloat”.

She admitted to her 86,000 followers it was something she had been struggling with for many years.

“I have learnt a lot through my own research into my own problems once I noticed my body playing up when I did certain things, and ate certain foods. It was really frustrating because I couldn’t work out what was triggering it,” she wrote.

“This photo is a bad day, a day I cannot tell you exactly what I ate that made me blow up. I have gone over everything I ate and I was relatively clean so it could be something I think is ‘healthy’ that my body now thinks ‘naaa no liked’.”

Along with food and lack of sleep, the 26-year-old admitted stress was the major “killer” that affected her body negatively.

“Yoga, walks with the dog or just putting my feet up and watching Netflix normally do the trick.”

But the Miss Northern Ireland 2012 titleholder doesn’t want to be put on any “perfect” pedestal.

“I am miles away from being a role model when it comes to looking after myself fully in this sense. We all have our areas of weakness,” she said.

“I know what I am doing wrong and I know how to fix it but it is actually implementing it into your lifestyle that’s the tough bit.

Her post has since been shared more than 4678 times on Facebook, with many people praising her for her refreshing honesty.

Tiffany’s tips to treat bloating:

“Top tips:

  • Get your zzz’s!
  • Write a food diary and reflect where and when you bloat.
  • Don’t over exercise to compensate for a bloated belly. It’s not fat. Exercising will most likely make it worse.
  • Look into gut health supplements – multivitamins and probiotics.
  • Drink peppermint tea to soothe your tum.
  • Relax and be happy… It’ll be ok, you’re not alone. Promise. ”

So there you go, you and your food baby are one of many.
